Official Deck-Building Rules for Competitive Play

Ready to claim your throne as a true Legend? Step up your game and play competitively!

In Home Team Heroes, your deck is your team, your strategic vision, your identity on the pitch. Will you build an attacking squad or prioritize a strong defence? A well-balanced midfield machine good for both, box-to-box? Or some unpredictable details or even single specialized cards that keep your opponent guessing your plan?

Latest update: 13/12/2025
  • Max 10 foil cards per deck
Setting a limit for Standard competitive play. We are working on "Unlimited mode", with loose/no restrictions for foils, aiming for two competitive modes: Standard & Unlimited.
  • Simpilified deck building by removing Referee Card minimum.
  • Simpilified deck building by removing Player Card copy limit.

Your deck must always contain

In total 60 Cards, including:

  • Exactly 40 Player Cards.
  • Exactly 20 Event or Referee Cards.

Card Copy Limits:

  • Max 1 copy of each unique special foil card.
Special rare shining foil cards are stronger than standard cards. Therefore, only one copy of each is allowed per deck.
  • Max 10 foil cards in total.
  • Max 2 copies of each Referee Card.
  • Max 2 copies of each Event Card.

- Player Cards featuring the same player (same name) are considered unique if their stats are different.

- Event and Referee Cards with the exact same card effect are considered copies, even if the name/title of the card is different.

For example: The football-themed Referee Card “Offside” and the futsal-themed “Accumulated Foul” both have the effect “Cancel and Discard the Player Card...”, so they count as copies of each other.
